News : Miners rescued after Ukraine blast

A majority miners caught underground in a gas explosion at a Ukraine mine have been found alive, some are still missing.

Emergency teams have rescued 23 miners trapped hundreds of metres underground after a blast at a Ukrainian colliery. One miner was found dead and 13 are still missing at the Karl Marx pit northeast of Donetsk, centre of Ukraine's Donbass coalfield. Five workers on the surface were injured in the blast.
