News : Life on planet Petronius




Life on a deepwater oil platform like Petronius can sometimes seem routine, but all it takes is one alarm to get people to put safety plans into place and rush to action. It turns out to be a computer glitch.

There is a sigh of relief on faces all around but for a facility that produces 27-thousand barrels of oil and about 31-million cubic feet of natural gas a day -- better safe than sorry.
