News : Olympics opening day




Thousands gather in Tiananmen to see the flag raising on the opening day of the Olympics.

Beijing was eerily quiet on Friday morning as the government declared the day a holiday for most local residents. But many still gathered on Tiananmen Square to see the flag raising on the opening day of the Olympic Games.
