News : Beijing's new wonders




China's Great Wall has been a global icon for thousands of years, but the Olympic landmarks of new Beijing have quickly made their own history in the 800-year-old capital city.

Architects of the "Bird's Nest" national stadium, "Water Cube" or Beijing's $3.6 billion airport have varied, but engineering firm Arup has guided projects on safety, utility and aesthetics.
