News : A tech 'renaissance' in Europe




Central and Eastern Europe has quietly become a hub of innovation for start-ups and top tech companies alike.

Aiming to follow in the footsteps of regional success stories such as Estonia's Skype, entrepreneurs are entering a new era of opportunity according to international investors at a recent Zagreb technology conference.

The world's largest software manufacturer Microsoft has also moved to bolster its presence in the region, both reflecting and fuelling the growth in Central and Eastern Europe.

Reuters Technology Correspondent Matt Cowan reports from Croatia.
