News : Door to door killing in Congo

Congolese Tutsi rebels advance further, killing civilians in the eastern town of Kiwanja.

But rebels say they targeted pro-government militia fighters. The rebels who are loyal to General Laurent Nkunda are being accused by Human Rights Watch of war crimes. The U.N peacekeeping force in Congo (MONUC) says rebels have violated the cease-fire in the violent North Kivu province.

Nkunda accuses Joseph Kabila's army of supporting Rwandan Hutu rebels who took part in the Rwandan genocide.
