Sep 11 - U.S president George W Bush marks 9/11 with a moment of silence on the lawns of the White House.

Marking the seventh anniversary of the September11th attacks hundreds of people observed the moments of silence and remembered the incident where nearly 3,000 people died in the attacks on the twin towers of the World Trade Center.

U.S president George W Bush marked a moment of remembrance at the White House, and at the Pentagon.

The attacks prompted the U.S led invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.
